
Meet The Doctor
Dr. Homrighhausen is a life long resident of New Albany. He received a B.A. in Biology and B.A. in Chemistry from Indiana University. He then attended the University of Louisville School of Dentistry where he received his D.M.D. and was a member of the Beta Delta Honor Fraternity. Dr. Homrighausen went on to complete his residency at Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn, New York where he became the Chief Resident of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. He returned to New Albany in 1997 and practiced for three years before opening his own practice in 2000. Dr. Homrighausen is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons and a Fellow of the American Association of Dental Anesthesiologists. He is an active member of the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Dental Association, Louisville Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and a member of the ICOI, International Congress of Oral Implantologists. He is on staff at Floyd Memorial, Clark County, Harrison County and Jewish Hospitals. Dr. Homrighausen donates his time and services to the Family Health Center of Clark County, Special Olympics and to the National Foundation of Dentistry for the Handicapped.

The staff of the James K. Homrighausen, D.M.D. is trained in basic life support and is dedicated to providing quality care to our patients. As a patient, the process of going through any surgical procedure can be intimidating. Our goal is to make this process as comfortable as possible both physically and emotionally. We work as a team to make our patients’ experience comfortable.
